Discover the Historic D-Day Landing Sites on a Private Tour
For this exclusive historical tour of the Normandy D-Day landing sites, I recommend an early morning departure to arrive before the crowds and make the most of your day. Given the number of significant sites in the region, we will personalize the itinerary together based on your preferences, ensuring a meaningful and immersive experience.

Pointe du Hoc – Witness the Battle Scars
We can begin our journey at Pointe du Hoc, one of the most dramatic battle sites of D-Day. Here, you will see the deep bomb craters, German bunkers, and the towering cliffs that the elite U.S. Army Rangers bravely scaled on June 6, 1944. This site remains one of the most powerful reminders of the immense challenges faced by the Allied forces.
Omaha Beach – Walk in the Footsteps of Heroes
Next, we will stop at Omaha Beach, the most famous of the five landing beaches. This stretch of sand, where thousands of American soldiers stormed ashore under relentless enemy fire, is now a place of quiet reflection. I will share detailed historical insights about the intense battles fought here and the incredible bravery displayed on this fateful day.

Lunch Break – A Taste of Normandy
Following our visit to Omaha Beach, we will have the option to either stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional Norman meal or opt for a quick lunch to-go, allowing us to maximize our time exploring the historical sites. The choice is yours, ensuring the best balance between comfort and discovery during our day together.
Colleville-sur-Mer – The American Cemetery
A visit to the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer is an essential and deeply moving experience. Over 9,000 white marble crosses and Stars of David stand in solemn rows, overlooking the very beach where so many soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice. We will take time to honor their memory and understand the significance of their heroism.

Longues-sur-Mer – The German Battery
In the afternoon, we can visit the Longues-sur-Mer artillery battery, where original 150mm German guns still remain in their bunkers. This site provides an exceptional perspective on the defensive strategy of the Atlantic Wall and offers stunning views of the Normandy coastline.
Arromanches – The Remains of the Mulberry B Harbor
Our tour can continue to Arromanches, where you will witness the remains of the ingenious artificial harbor built by the Allies. This engineering marvel played a crucial role in the success of the invasion by allowing the rapid unloading of troops, vehicles, and supplies needed to sustain the battle for Normandy.

This private D-Day tour is entirely flexible and customizable. Whether you want to add Utah Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église, the Pegasus Bridge, or any other site of interest, I will tailor the itinerary to your desires.
