Morning Pick-Up & Early Arrival at Giverny
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up at your hotel around 8 AM, ensuring an early arrival at Giverny before the crowds. This allows for a peaceful and immersive visit to Claude Monet’s home and gardens, where the master of Impressionism found his inspiration.

Journey to Rouen & Lunch in the Historic Center
After our visit to Giverny, we drive to Rouen, the capital of Normandy, rich in medieval history and artistic heritage. Upon arrival, you will have time for lunch (not included) at one of the city’s excellent restaurants, where I can suggest options ranging from traditional Norman cuisine to refined French gastronomy.

Exploring Monet’s House & Gardens
Upon arrival, we head straight into the iconic gardens of Giverny, where Monet spent decades cultivating a living masterpiece. You’ll walk through the vibrant flower beds, cross the famous Japanese bridge over the water lily pond, and step inside Monet’s charming home, preserved with its original decor. As we explore, I will share insights into Monet’s life, artistic journey, and the impact of Giverny on his most famous works.

Walking Tour of Rouen’s Historic Landmarks
After lunch, we set off on a walking tour of Rouen, discovering its most iconic sites:
• Place du Vieux Marché – The historic square where Joan of Arc was martyred in 1431. Today, a modern church in her honor stands alongside beautifully preserved half-timbered houses, offering a blend of history and charm.
• Rue du Gros-Horloge – A stroll through one of Rouen’s most famous streets leads us to the Gros-Horloge, a stunning Renaissance clock arching over the passageway, symbolizing the city’s medieval prosperity.
• Rouen Cathedral – A Gothic masterpiece that captivated Claude Monet, inspiring his famous series of paintings capturing its changing light. With its towering spires and intricate façade, the cathedral is a true architectural marvel.
To conclude our visit, you can choose between:
• The Joan of Arc Museum – An engaging multimedia experience retracing the life and trial of one of France’s most legendary figures.

• The Fine Arts Museum of Rouen – Home to a remarkable collection of Impressionist paintings, including works by Monet, Sisley, and Pissarro.

• A walking tour of Honfleur – If you prefer, we can take a detour to Honfleur, where you’ll discover the picturesque old harbor, historic streets, and charming half-timbered houses before returning to your hotel.
